About Us
Non Gamstop Bets is an independent comparison site covering sportsbooks that operate outside the UK's Gamstop self-exclusion scheme, with a particular focus on crypto betting sites. This page explains who we are, how the research is done, where the money in our business comes from, and what you should expect from every review published on aspen-electronics.com.
Commercial disclosure: some of the links on this site are commercial. If you open an account with a bookmaker we list, we may be paid a commission by that operator. That payment never buys a position in our rankings, never changes a rating, and never removes a criticism from a review. Operators do not see our copy before it goes live. Everything here is for adults aged 18 or over.
Why we built a site about non Gamstop bookies
Gamstop is a single switch. Once it is flipped, every UK-licensed bookmaker is closed to you for the term you chose — six months, one year or five. Plenty of people reach the end of that period, or find themselves looking at sportsbooks licensed elsewhere, and discover there is very little clear, non-judgemental information about how those sites actually work. Which ones settle quickly. Which ones take Bitcoin and which quietly only take cards. What a 300% bonus really demands of you before a withdrawal is possible.
That gap is what we fill. We write in plain British English about offshore-licensed sportsbooks the way a punter would want them described: odds, markets, bonus terms, payout behaviour, crypto support and the bits that catch people out. We also keep a separate section for non Gamstop casinos for readers whose interest runs past sport.
How we research and rate a bookmaker
We do not claim to have deposited at, played on or withdrawn from the sites we cover. Our work is desk research and verification: reading full terms and conditions, checking licensing statements, comparing published odds on the same fixtures, tracking payment pages, monitoring operator changes, and reading what bettors report publicly. Where something cannot be verified, we say so rather than filling the gap with a guess.
Every editorial rating on the site — the score you see on the ranked cards — is ours. It is not an aggregate of customer reviews and should not be read as one. The weighting behind it:
- Bonus fairness (25%) — headline size matters far less than the wagering requirement, minimum odds, maximum stake while a bonus is active, and the expiry window.
- Odds and margin (20%) — how the prices compare on football match odds, horse racing win markets and major accumulators.
- Payments, especially crypto (20%) — which coins and fiat rails are accepted, stated processing times, fees and withdrawal caps.
- Market depth and features (15%) — bet builders, cash out, live betting, streaming, acca boosts.
- Licensing and terms clarity (10%) — a visible regulator, a readable T&Cs page, no hidden clauses.
- Support and usability (10%) — contact channels, response quality reported by users, mobile performance.
Ratings are reviewed on a rolling basis and the page carries a fact-check date. A site that changes its bonus terms or drops a payment method can move down as easily as up.
Three of the brands we cover, and why
Tenobet — our current top-rated sportsbook
Tenobet sits at 10.0 in our ratings because it combines a deep football and racing book with crypto-friendly banking and terms that are written in readable language rather than buried. The headline offer is a sports package of 300% up to €3,000. Read that carefully before claiming: a bonus of that scale carries a proportionally large playthrough, and like most offers of this type it will come with minimum odds per leg and a time limit, so check the current terms on site before your first deposit. Note also that the offer and much of the cashier are denominated in euros, not sterling, so UK bettors funding in GBP should expect a conversion step and the spread that comes with it. That currency friction is the main reason it will not suit everyone.
smash — the biggest headline number we list
smash earns 9.8 for range rather than restraint. Its 250% up to €5,000 welcome offer is the largest maximum on the site, which makes it worth a look for higher-staking bettors who were going to fund a substantial balance anyway. For anyone depositing £20 or £30, the ceiling is irrelevant and the percentage is what matters. The limitation is straightforward: an offer that size is built for volume, and clearing it means committing to a lot of turnover at qualifying odds. If you bet occasionally and selectively, a smaller bonus with lighter conditions will serve you better.
Betninja — sport and casino in one account
Betninja also scores 9.8, and it is on the list because of breadth: the welcome package of €1,000 + 100 free spins covers both the sportsbook and the slots side, which suits readers who move between the two. The spins component usually carries its own separate wagering and game restrictions, distinct from the sports element, so treat it as two offers sharing one headline. The drawback is that a mixed sports-and-casino bonus tends to be more complex to clear than a pure sports one, and bettors with no interest in slots are effectively leaving part of the package on the table.
Comparing the ranked list
| Bookmaker | Headline welcome offer | Our rating |
|---|---|---|
| Tenobet | Sports package: 300% up to €3,000 | 10.0 |
| smash | 250% up to €5,000 | 9.8 |
| Betninja | €1,000 + 100 free spins | 9.8 |
| CoinPoker | 150% up to $2,000 | 9.7 |
| WinnerIsland | Up to 55% on accas with Multiboost | 9.7 |
| Gambiva | 300% up to €3,500 | 9.6 |
| Gamble Gorilla | 100% up to £100, £20 minimum deposit | 9.5 |
| BetBluff | 100% up to £150 bonus | 9.2 |
| Rolletto | 150% up to €1,500 + 200 free bet | 9.2 |
| 7abet | 300% up to £200 | 9.1 |
All welcome offers are subject to the operator's own terms, which can change without notice. Two on this list are priced in sterling from the start — Gamble Gorilla and BetBluff — which removes the conversion question for GBP depositors, though the maximums are far smaller.
How the money works, on both sides
For you, the cost of taking part is your stake and whatever your funding method charges. Sportsbooks outside the UK scheme typically take a mix of the following, though the exact list differs by brand and you should confirm it on the cashier page:
- Cryptocurrency — usually Bitcoin, and often Ethereum, Litecoin or stablecoins. The bookmaker rarely charges a fee, but the network does, and that fee varies with congestion. Deposits typically clear after a set number of confirmations; withdrawals are often the fastest route out.
- Debit cards — familiar, but UK card issuers may decline gambling transactions to non-UK merchants, and withdrawals back to card are generally slower than crypto.
- E-wallets and vouchers — available at some brands, occasionally excluded from bonus eligibility. Check the promotion terms before funding.
- Bank transfer — slowest, usually with the highest minimum.
Expect minimum deposits, minimum and maximum withdrawal limits, and identity checks before a first payout. Currency conversion applies whenever the account is held in euros or dollars while you fund in pounds. On our side, the money comes from affiliate commission paid by operators when readers sign up through our links — never from readers, and never in exchange for a better score.
What the sites we cover actually offer
Our reviews assess the sportsbook first. Typical coverage across the brands listed here includes:
- Football — Premier League, EFL, European leagues and cups, with match odds, over/under, both teams to score, player markets and bet builders.
- Horse racing — UK and Irish cards plus international meetings, win and each-way, with ante-post on the bigger festivals.
- Other sport — tennis, cricket, rugby, darts, snooker, boxing, MMA, NFL and basketball.
- Esports and virtuals — often stronger at crypto-led operators than at traditional bookmakers.
- In-play — live odds, cash out where offered, and occasionally streaming for account holders.
Beside the sportsbook, most of these operators run adjacent product lines: slots and jackpot games, live-dealer tables with real croupiers, RNG table games, crash and instant-win titles, and in CoinPoker's case a poker room where cash games and tournaments run on their own rake and prize structure rather than sportsbook margins. These sit under different bonus terms and different contribution rates to wagering — casino play often counts differently from sports bets. Where your interest is mainly the casino side, our non Gamstop casino coverage goes into it properly.
Eligibility, regulation and what it means for you
The sportsbooks we cover hold licences from regulators outside the United Kingdom, which is why they are not connected to Gamstop or to UK Gambling Commission requirements. That has practical consequences worth understanding before you open an account:
- You must be 18 or over. Every operator will verify age and identity, usually before a first withdrawal.
- Complaints are handled by the operator's licensing authority, not by the UKGC or a UK ombudsman scheme. Check which regulator is named in the site footer and what dispute route it offers.
- UK deposit-limit and affordability tooling is not standardised across these brands. Many offer their own limits, timeouts and self-exclusion controls — find them in account settings before you start rather than after.
- Terms govern everything. Bonus abuse clauses, maximum win caps on bonus funds and dormant-account fees are all common; read them.
Gambling should stay affordable and enjoyable. If it stops being either, our responsible gambling page lists the tools and support available. Our full terms of use set out the limits of what this site can be relied on for.
Who writes this
Editorial is led by Freddie Walsh, who oversees which brands are reviewed, how they are scored and when a rating changes. Pages carry a visible update date so you can see how current the information is. We correct errors when we find them and when readers point them out — if something on the site is out of date or wrong, tell us via the contact page and we will check it.
Using this site well
Treat our rankings as a shortlist, not a verdict. Start with what matters to you: if you fund in crypto and want quick payouts, weight the payments section; if you are a racing punter, compare early prices and each-way terms rather than bonus size; if you bet small and infrequently, a £100 offer with light conditions beats a €5,000 ceiling you will never approach. Then read the operator's own terms in full before you deposit — they, not us, are the binding document. When you are ready, open one account rather than several, and give yourself a spending limit before the first bet rather than after it.
